As a story teller and photographer, I love sharing and writing about all the different stories I'm honored to learn about and document. From clients to personal journeys in life, to advice and interesting things I've learned; read along and follow as I document about what's happening and all the things I'm up to.
Las Vegas Shoot
A few weeks ago, I was in Las Vegas for the Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon. (I did awful). But, in light of my awfulness, I did manage to sneak in a quick photo session and I’m so so glad that I did. Up until a week prior to departing for Vegas, I wasn’t even sure if I could make something work. And then I took a leap and reached out to some folks and BAM…the clouds parted and I was given an amazing path to find myself connected with Jackie and Anthony, who are newly engaged along with the talented Renee from City Blossoms LV. When I arrived on Friday evening, City Blossoms wasn’t far behind to help drop off the florals. After making room in my brother’s fridge for the massive bouquet, I was ready to rock and roll for our session the following morning. Yup…morning session….sunrise session. Gosh, I absolutely LOVE that sunrise light but man do I really dislike waking up so early, haha.
Just before the crack of dawn, Jackie and Anthony pulled up and were ready to go. They picked me up and we headed out to Red Rock Canyon. After driving and scoping out a couple places, we stopped. There were seriously SO many amazing places we could have gone but I didn’t think I’d be able to steal them for an entire day just for photos, lol.
Even in the rocky terrain, Jackie managed to walk up and down in her heels and traverse it like a champ! And with it being a little chilly that morning, we got through it and holy macro do I just love these images.
All of these images were taken on my film camera. I’m so thrilled to share this session with you all because it really showcases just how beautiful film photography can be. Film is a medium I learned on, and learned my love of photography on. So, I couldn’t be more pleased about this session. I hope you enjoy it all!!
