I’m just in love with this wedding at Rustic Manor 1848 with Mike and Mary. My sweet friend Tegan fell ill on the day of the wedding. Tegan is the owner of The Paper Elephant and an amazing photographer that I’ve know for quite some time now in the Milwaukee area. The night just before the wedding, she found herself having complications and spent the night in the hospital with no ability to be released before the wedding day began. In a panic, she reached out to trusted friends and photographers and I am so honored that I fell on the list. That morning at quarter to 8, we connected on the details and I had about 3 hours to gather my things and drive 80 miles to Hartland. Mary and Mike were so completely understanding and as sweet as can be. I think even if they were nervous or whatnot, they didn’t show it and we still found ourselves smiling and laughing and having a pretty amazing time!!! I SO LOVED hearing their stories and falling love with these two. I mean…come on…they are dentists and I LOVE going to the dentist.
Mary was so pumped for outdoor photos in the midst of winter and had the best attitude. She was all for standing in the cold and getting some great images. And Mike was just the same. So much so…that they brought snow shoes and they snow shoed in the deep snow for some awesome photos!! They are like every photographer’s dream couple. Super brave, fun and loving, adventurous, and willing to do whatever!! These two had the most amazing friends and family at their wedding. They were welcomed at every table with cheers and smiles and holy wow did they have the largest Marquette crowd I’ve seen in the Milwaukee area!!! It was impressive and I loved the camaraderie.
