Being a parent has totally changed my world, and it the most amazing way too! I know that the bond between my son and my husband is something I won’t ever be able to replicate as a mommy, but I’m going to do all I can to be super involved and in his life as much as possible. And so, it was so amazing to see events like what Salon Modify was putting on, this past weekend. They did a Daddy Daughter Day and it was wonderful. Being a mommy/son combo, I love seeing when the opposite exists too. Sorry Andy….no daughter for you 🙁 haha
Sometimes I think that fathers can have a hard time connecting with their daughters vs. sons. I guess I can only take my own personal experiences and those that have been shared with me by friends. But from what I’ve seen, I think there is room for fathers to take that extra step in connecting with their little angels! And seeing so many fathers attend this event and really take the time to learn and care for their little girl’s hair…..priceless!!!! It was so sweet and even though these little girls don’t realize it then and there, they will look back when they are old (like me, haha) and realize that they have the greatest Dad’s in the world. This event wasn’t just a one day thing, for me, it proved that these fathers are willing to take that extra time to make their little girls feel special and cared for and I think that is SO special to females to know at a young age, that they have a wonderful male figure in their lives. I am so thankful that my friend Adam Shea who also happens to be a wonderful photographer, invited me along to photograph this lovely event. Enjoy!!
