It’s so important to me to push young women forward in life….to allow them to dream, hope, live, and be fearless! When I was a little girl, all my parents every asked from me was to be a good kid and eventually marry a man, have children, and be a good wife. My expectation as a woman was just that. They didn’t teach me to be strong, or confident, or even to progress my life more. Sure, college was a plus, but really…they just wanted me to be the traditional housewife. This would have been all fine, but I had and still have SO many big dreams and ideas and about a million things I want to do. So, I couldn’t do this, I wouldn’t do this. Hence, I became the first female in my family to join the military and to start my own business. Talk about doing something totally different.
Luckily, my older sister was able to lead the way and be the first female in my family to go to college and then I followed shortly afterwards. I think that being the first is SO important. It means that we have the permission to do more and be more!! We as females are capable of doing whatever and we just need that extra push. And sometimes we are fortunate enough to have supportive families or even to have financial support. But sadly, there are so many that don’t have this.
And this is why I’m so passionate about giving back to something so close to my heart. There is so much untapped potential all around the world. Scientists, creatives, musicians, doctors, math mathematicians, educators….omg you name it!!! There are SO many people in this world with the capacity for greatness but lack the basic needs of education in order to bring that out.
IF EVERY PERSON WAS AFFORDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO A HIGHER EDUCATIONS, WE COULD UNLOCK SECRETS TO A BETTER OUR WORLD….FASTER world…MORE EFFICIENT one and simply…JUST BETTER!
Part of putting on the Kreativ Workshop is more than helping creative entrepreneurs in business. It’s about giving back to communities and charities like “She’s the First” so that we can help build a better world. We have no choice, we live in this world and there is no where else to go.
