Laura and Jon’s Classic Green Bay Wedding
Can I just say that I love these two! And not only because they made me cry more than I’ve ever cried at a wedding but because they are so sweet. It was almost a year ago when I first meet Laura and Jon. She’d been seeking a photographer and stumbled upon me on The Knot. Once we met up, I grew more and more excited about their wedding day. Because Jon popped the question in Door County, it was only fitting we go there for the engagement session. It was such an amazing day, despite the crazy winds. But I loved their engagement session and I knew their wedding would be so much more!
The Wedding Day
On their wedding day, we were a little worried that it might rain or that it would be 100 degrees out, lol. Luckily, the rain stayed away and the temperatures were at bay. I feel like we started the day with lots of joyful tears. Which then steamrolled into multiple joyful moments throughout the entire day, haha.
These two SO love each other. Laura’s love for Take 5 Candy bars was a perfect sentiment and treat from Jon before their first look. And once again, the tears are flowing. (my heart is melting at this point!) We went right into a first look where we had more tears of joy and so so much happiness followed by a first look with Dad with more tears of joy again. LOL. Again, lots of tears of joy this day.
After a beautiful ceremony, we headed out to St. Norbert Campus for both photos and the reception. We were even a short walk away from where Jon lived when he went to school there. We sort of hopped into the backyard for an iconic photo before starting all the rest of the fun.
Everything flowed so smoothly the entire day. I loved that Laura’s dad play and sang a special song for them to dance to. It was a surprise and a good one!
Thank you Laura and Jon for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. And thank you to my fellow vendors that worked hard to make their day so enjoyable!
