Destination Wedding Photographer

YESssshhh!!! Fun in the sun and sharing their wedding!! This girl is the sweetest ever! Be prepared to be absolutely bombarded with a TON of photos. Possibly, the largest blogpost with the most photos ever!!!! That’s insane!!!!!
As a visitor to St. Pete Beach, myself and my friend Shaunae decided to grab breakfast at a local place just a handful of blocks from the getting ready hotel the morning of the wedding. Little did we or anyone for that matter, know that there was going to be an impromptu motorcycle parade coming through on the very street we and the hotel was on. The roads were blocked off and barricaded and traffic was at a standstill. Luckily, it wasn’t too long and our lovely Uber driver appeared to take us to the hotel. Even though it didn’t impede our schedule, Sim Yin was super cool and chill about the whole thing. Isn’t that awesome!? I was so excited to hang out with the girls and photograph all of her little details and take her wedding gown out for a photo op! Meanwhile,

Meanwhile, Shaunae was hanging with the guys and having a blast on her own. Sim and Jamie were going to be heading down to Malaysia at the end of the year (like right now) to host their celebration there as well and her outfit for that was the traditional red one that you see hanging up. We really wanted to make it work so after the first look, we did a quick wardrobe change and voila! It was all good and we snapped a few photos and magically changed back;)
We spent some time down at the beach taking photos and then were quickly on our way to the St. Pete Beach Community Center for the ceremony. It was such a lovely location and their vows had everyone in tears. Really…I’m pretty sure the only dry eyes were the babies that were still sleeping or sucking on their nuks. It was so so so sweet and one of my absolute favorite moments is when Sim Yin reached across and wiped a tear from Jamie’s face. My heart melted!!! Gosh I am a sap! I blame motherhood, haha.

After sniffling through the remainder of the ceremony, we gathered all the family for some lovely photos with palm trees in the background and spent some time with the wedding party before high tailing it out of there with Jamie’s brother’s car to hit up the beach at sunset. OMG….first, we went to the part of the beach that was steps from our AirBNB and it was stunning! The sunset was so beautiful and we caught this gorgeous warm and soft feathery light. It’s SO DREAMY!!! New rule…everyone must have beach photos now. haha. We took advantage of every bit of sunset light there was and went back to join the party. With guests from all over, Shaunae and myself were seated with the Milwaukee crew!!! (yeah, ON Wisconsin!!) We enjoyed the whole evening, took it all in, even joined in for some dancing before we called it a night. It was sad to leave, but we had such a great time and now, we get to keep these memories forever too!!!

I want to say thank you to Sim Yin and Jamie for allowing me to be a part of their wedding day, to document all the joy and love, to be a guest, to be a friend! I will cherish this wedding!
