One of my favorites weddings I must say. Not only did I get to link up with an old army comrade, but I got to visit a fantastic city along the way and photograph her wedding day. Many congrats to the awesome couple, Bartosz and Kathryn!!

Flashback to 2007, Fort Benning, GA. Oh my…I remember the brutal summer! Katie and I were roommates and we were besties within hours. It’s was funny as there were others in the class that assumed we had known each other prior to starting our military army officer’s training. Afraid not…we were just that cool and got along from the start.

The biggest perk to having military friends…is that you can go years without saying a word to each other and when you meet up again, it’s like nothing has changed. You know exactly what I mean if you have served.

Anyways, enough memories from the past. Wedding talk!
Katie picked out the best venue to host her wedding. Green Pastures Restaurant was the most beautiful backdrop for her intimate wedding. With both sets of families traveling from afar, it was a great crowd and both families were amazing. Bartosz’s parents were actually celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary the same day, so it was a super fun treat to see them cut the grooms cake.

Inspired by her grandmothers 1950’s wedding dress, Katie had custom designed a unique and memorable Emerald Green Cocktail Wedding Dress from Dress My Way. I took a peek, and what a wonderful site!! I must commission myself a dress from there in the future!

Bartosz and Katie have such a great relationship. They first met overseas as a professional relationship. It was when they returned to Germany, that they decided to take things further. While in Germany, they spend lots of time traveling all over Europe. (totally jealous). They had pictures and stories of all the places they visited as part of the centerpieces at the wedding. It’s amazing how much they done together. I can’t imagine a better way to foster a loving relationship. I hope lots more adventuring is around the corner for them both.

Super awesome place!! Bangers was a fantastic pick for the Rehearsal Dinner. There was a whole bunch of us and it was good times with great company! And….vegan meals too! Cool!
