Door County Wedding

June + Door County + Wedding = a rock awesome time!

Haley and Karl are just the sweetest! Both are actually a bit shy and just perfect for each other. I loved that Karl’s family flew from Hawaii to celebrate with them. And how great is it that they held it in door county too? It really gives both families a chance to vacation a bit too while they where there. Who doesn’t love spending a summer weekend in door county?

Look at those shoes! Of course..me and shoes again. But yes, Haley did awesome with picking out shoes:)

Jackie from Blossoms was the mastermind for the beautiful flowers. Haley’s bouquet was stunning and I was in love immediately!! And the corsages for the moms….she had the flowers mounted on a really cool adjustable wristband that was super sturdy and looked beautiful. Just an overall wonderful job and it really added to Haley and Karl’s wedding!

It was a bit funny when I talked with Haley’s mom. Haley initially went shopping for a wedding dress saying that she did NOT want a ballgown or anything poofy and that she didn’t want anything strapless either. So to Haley’s surprise, she ended up loving exactly what she didn’t think she would. How cool is that? It just goes to show, that if you have an open mind, you can fall in love with your perfect dress even if you didn’t imagine it.

The church grounds were great and the sun was just in the right place that we were able to take all the family photos and the wedding party photos outside in the fresh air:)

Now, this is what I’m talking about!! Door County Wedding is exactly what I was going for, and you can’t get that without seeing the rocky shores and a beautiful treeline. That’s how you know you are in door county! I’m so thankful for all the ladies who hiked into the rocky shores with those heels!! They were such troopers!

Gordon Lodge in Door County is a beautiful setting for a reception. Heck…it’s beautiful for both! We had a lot of fun wandering the grounds and getting photos along the trails and on the grounds near the water. It’s a beautiful place and Haley and Karl did such a great job with the selection.

Thank you to both Haley and Karl for allowing me to be part of this day and to capture their beautiful wedding memories for them and their families. Capture Life Moments had an awesome time! Our crew really enjoyed the entire day and from all of us, we wish you guys all the best!!
