Door County Wedding Photographer | Kearney & John

Door County weddings are beautiful. But even more than that; it’s personal. It was a no brainer to hold the wedding at Stone’s Throw Winery. It was Kearney’s mom’s place and absolutely beautiful.

Two people so absolutely and visibly in love. I am pretty sure that from the moment they saw each other to the very end of the night, there was nothing but complete love in them for each other. Naturally lovable and adorable!!

They day started off beautifully. Sunny skies with some clouds and we were going to miss the rain. (yes!) Almost immediately it seemed, flowers and more flowers arrived. I loved that Kearney was in love with flowers. (because I too LOVE flowers). Something about having beautiful and fresh flowers just brings a whole life to things. The boldness of the colors she selected were absolutely perfect!

Video

They both opted to do a first look and I’m so happy we captured it on both photo and video. It was so sweet!! The way they were together was almost like watching the cutest old couple that’s been together forever. It was insanely adorable. (but no means are they old, lol)

The first look was even better than I could have imagined. John and Kearney were so sweet. I could see that John was getting very nervous. And as we inched closer to the first look, it started to show more. But when he turned to see his future wife…it was as if all the nerves had magically floated away.

All the Feels

Kearney and John wrote letters to each other beforehand and tears on both sides. Then first look = more happy tears. Then the ceremony = more happy tears. When I looked out into the chairs filled with guests…nothing but sheer joy. Weddings are supposed to be happy days but this wedding? It was literally the exact happy that everyone dreams of.

They both wrote their own set of vows. At one point, they had completely drawn in every person that was there; and ended up needing some tissues. Which, a lovely pack of tissues came flying from the crowd just so Kearney could wipe her tears. They had the best guests!

The entire day flew by — not just for them but for me too. I just wanted it to keep going, lol. I’m so thankful to have connected with Kearney, John and their families. I will never forget this wonderful day and am so honored to have documented it.
