Alright — so, I wasn’t born naturally smart. I’ve always had to study hard and try try try and try again. As a child, I loved reading. I used to win the award in my elementary class as the most books read in a year. By at least double. Yes really, I read a lot! You know all those Goosebumps books? haha, yes, I think I read them all. Along with the R.L. Stine and Choose your own Adventure books. Gosh, those were the days! Then as I got older, I started reading a ton of those romantic books. I also read all the Harry Potter books and just about anything else that was on the New York Best Seller’s list. Well…as life would have it, I got too busy and stopped ready. I never could find time or make time to sit down and just read again. And so — a lightbulb went on. And I thought, hey…a few years ago, I downloaded a few books onto Audible and only listened to one. Perhaps it’s time to start again.

I am so glad that I started up Audible again. I’ve already gotten through 3 books in the past week and some change that I’ve been meaning to read and am soaking up so much knowledge along the way. So this is my secret. I’ve been crushing books like a madwoman…gaining knowledge and learning SO much! Again, I have always loved to read and I love the idea of snuggling with an oversized sweater and a cup of coffee while I sink into a book…but man…let’s be completely honest here. I don’t have time!! Haha. I mean, I know that if you really want to do something, you can make time. But I see it like this. I LOVE traveling and because of this, I’m constantly on the road. Whether it’s driving down to Chicago, up to Door County or just driving to Starbucks for my daily cup of joe, I would like to make the absolute most out of my time. This way, instead of spending an hour snuggled in a blanket nose deep in a book, I can listen to the book on my drive and spend my snuggle time with my Stanley! This is how I’ve been soaking up a little extra knowledge here and there. And it has changed my world! If you are like me and love to read but just haven’t been able to carve out time for it…this is a perfect alternative…next to live action role play of the book that is, but hey, I don’t think that’s happening anytime soon, so I think I’ll just stick with Audible.
