I met Karl 3 years ago when he stood up in his sister’s wedding. I absolutely enjoyed his family and their energy and little did I know that they would be knocking on my door again to document another wedding in the family. I was absolutely honored when Karl contacted me no less than a month after he proposed to Jessie. And wow, are they not the most amazing people?! I loved that Jessie trusted Karl and saw enough of my work to sign off as having me document their wedding day. Every step of the way, I knew that these two were the perfect couple for me to photograph. Genuine, caring, heartfelt, so so very courteous, extra kind, and full of love. And brave!!
Leading up to the wedding day there was a lot of bravery that these two had to overcome. From something as simple as braving the extreme negative degree temperatures for their engagement session (Jessie in a DRESS too) to health challenges that took their families for a whirlwind. These two are so brave and man oh man do they just deserve it all. I can’t say enough about how much I love these two and both of their ridiculously amazing families.
The entire wedding day flowed without missing a beat. From the first look with Dad and Jessie that had my sobbing behind my camera to taking that last photo of the night of which I was exuding with happiness when I took it. Everything was exactly as it should be and even more. I loved being present on their wedding day and being able to experience these two start their journey together. With so so so much love to Karl and Jessie!!
